Obituary for Tamera Kay Staubus

Adrian, MN

     Tamera Kay Staubus, 51, was born on September 17, 1959, in Estherville, IA, the daughter of Willard and Marie (Klumper) Bush. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1978 and then worked as a nurse’s aide for several years. Tamera married Calvin Staubus on November 8, 1980, in Worthington, MN. She attended Worthington Community College and received an Associates of Arts Degree in Business. Tamera worked at Fey Industries in Edgerton, MN, for several years until she started helping out with Calvin’s grandmother. They moved to Omaha, NE, in 1994, and resided there for 12 years, where Tamera helped Calvin in their construction services business, which took them all over the Midwest. While in the different towns, she enjoyed getting to know the cities that they worked in. In November 2005, she was diagnosed with cancer. They returned to rural Magnolia in 2006. She enjoyed artwork, watercolor, and card making. Tamera died on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne, MN.
     Tamera is survived by her husband, Calvin Staubus of Adrian, MN; one brother, Gale (Faye) Bush of Round Lake, MN; one sister, Dixie (Michael) Hansen of Worthington, MN; mother-in-law, Florence Staubus of Worthington, MN; sister-in-law, Rachel (Victor) Flora of Round Lake, MN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Bonnie Gjertson.
     Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., at the Pipestone Seventh-day Adventist Church in Pipestone, MN.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
