Obituary for Sue Lynn Hardman

Worthington, MN
     Sue Lynn Hardman, 62, of St. Petersburg, FL, died on Friday January 23, 2009, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, IA.
     Sue was born on February 26, 1946, in Charleston, WV, to William and Pauline (Samuels) Kuhn.  She graduated from Sissonville High School, Morris Harvey College, and earned her Master’s in Education from the University of South Florida.  Sue was a teacher in the Pinellas County School System for over 30 years helping to start the Enhanced Learning Program.  She retired from Riviera Middle School in 1996.  Sue was an accomplished quilter.  She also enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and sewing.  Sue was also an avid racing fan.  She was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, participating in the Altar Guild and Handbell Choir.  Her interests included world travel.  In her life she was loved by many and influenced thousands.
     Sue is survived by two daughters, Gyan Hardman of St. Petersburg, FL and Liz (Ryan) Radtke of Worthington, MN; two grandchildren, Anna and William Radtke; one brother, William Kuhn of Summersville, WV; her companion, Jerry Russell of Archdale, NC; three nieces; one nephew, and nine grand nieces and nephews.
     Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 2:00 p.m, at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Mike Zaske officiating.  A second service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 4:00 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in St. Petersburg, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is handling the arrangements.
