Obituary for Steven Wade Roach

Steven Wade Roach, age 58 was born on January 3rd, 1962 to Antoinette “Toni” Roach and Jim Davidson in Eagle Butte, SD.

He made his journey to the spirit world on November 28th, 2020 at his home where he lived with his fiancé Becky and grandson Ryder. They owned Roach Trucking d\b\a Fest Transportation and worked on the Ackermann Family Farm.

Steve was an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. He worked different jobs through out his life. Some include ranching, heavy construction, John Morrell, tire shops, and farming. In his spare time he also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and camping.

He will be greatly missed by his Fiancé Becky Heron Lake, MN, step-sister Simoine Eagle Butte, SD, Mother of his children Gayle, Daughter Nikki (Clarence), Sons Jesse, Brett (Tina), and Stevie Sioux Falls, SD. Grandchildren Dakota, Mason, Alexia, Jakoby, Brayden, Zalayna, Adalyah, Zariyah, Hazel, Tave, Ryder, in-laws Jerry and Nancy Ackermann, Lakefield, MN, and many special friends. Everyone that met Steve thought he was an amazing, wonderful caring great man. He always left a special place in everyone’s heart.

He was preceded in death by his mom, stepdad Jake, grandparents Anthony Roach and Lydia Hollow Horn, son Randy, grandsons Liam, Leighton, and Ryker, and uncles, Orlando Roach, Randy Roach, and Raymond Roach Sr..

There will be a family funeral on Saturday December 5th, 2020 that will be on Facebook live starting at 10:40am under the Benson Funeral Home Facebook page.
