Obituary for Stanley Loren Alm

Worthington, MN

      Stanley Loren Alm was born December 24th, 1954 and died suddenly on November 4th, 2013 at the age of 58.
      Stanley was one of five born to Carrol and Geraldine Alm in Worthington, MN. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1973, thereafter joining the Army and then serving a term in the Navy before moving back to Worthington. In 1980, he began working at Davis Typewriter where he was employed for 33 years, most recently as the Operations Manager. In 1990 he married Donna Dykema (Duin). Stanley enjoyed the simple things in life; golfing, fishing, bowling, along with associating with the Worthington Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved spending time with those close to him and vacations with his family.
      He is survived by his wife and children, Stacy (Nathan) Papineau of Minneapolis, MN and Robert Dykema of St. Cloud, MN, three sisters, Carol Cafarelli of Eagan, MN, Judy Alm of Worthington, MN and Sue (Kenneth) Altman of Brewster, MN, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Alm, and niece, Christiana Alm.
      He will be remembered as a hardworking, generous, caring and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
      Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at the Travelodge Hickory Lodge Banquet Room in Worthington, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
