Obituary for Raymond Frazee

Worthington, Minnesota     Raymond Frazee, 84, of Worthington, was born on September 17, 1921, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Herman and Eva Brinkerhoff Frazee.  Raymond served his country with pride for four years in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for his valor.  Raymond married Lorraine Edwards on August 14, 1943, in Dakota City, Nebraska.  He worked for Armour Company in Worthington until his retirement.  Raymond was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He loved nature, was an avid fisherman, and belonged to the Minnesota Southwest Fishing Club.  Above all, he was a loving husband, best friend, and wonderful father and grandfather.  Our beloved Raymond joined the Lord on Monday, September 11, 2006, at his home in Worthington.     Raymond is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine, of Worthington, Minnesota; two sons, Ed (Carolyn) Frazee, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Raymond J. Jr. “Jim” (Judy) Frazee, of Alexandria, Minnesota; two daughters, Sherry (Richard “Dick”) Gormally. of Wichita, Kansas, and Beverly (Steve) Johnson, of West Dundee, Illinois; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four brothers, Robert and Jimmy Frazee, of Danbury, Wisconsin, Richard Frazee, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and Floyd Frazee, of Fredrick, Wisconsin, and six sisters, Vivian Green, of Rapid City, South Dakota, Margaret Britton, of Fredrick, Wisconsin, Amy Wynn and Mary Reed, of North Sioux City, South Dakota, Jean Wynn, of Kingsley, Iowa, and Patty Carey, of Vista, California.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Walter, Harry, Tommy, and Larry.    Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, Minnesota, with the Rev. Richard Ricker officiating.  Burial of his cremains, with military rites, will be held at a later date in the Worthington Cemetery.Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington. In lieu of flowers & plants, a memorial has been established in his name with Sioux Valley Hospice, PO Box 203, Worthington, MN  56187.
