Worthington, Minnesota
     Raymond Albert Kilker, 93, of Worthington, was born on March 13, 1915, in Senny, IA, the son of Fred John and Alma (John) Kilker.  He attended school in Lake Park, IA.  They moved to a farm north of Worthington, MN, where he worked for various farmers in the area.  Ray married Lenor Craun on March 14, 1938, in Sioux Falls, SD.  After their marriage, they built their home in Worthington.  He then worked for Lampert Lumber for 34 years, retiring in 1978.  Ray was an active member of the Worthington Christian Church, serving on the building committee, laying tile in the fellowship hall and Sunday school rooms, and helping out with some landscaping.  He enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He also enjoyed helping many friends and relatives with home projects and woodworking.  He loved to reminisce about things in the past.  Ray died on Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the Sanford Regional Hospital Worthington.
     Ray is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lenor, of Worthington, MN; three children, Delores (Les) Janssen, of Lakefield, MN, Kaleen (Burdell) Christians, of Fulda, MN, and Galen “Buzz” (Peggy) Kilker, of Parker, CO; nine grandchildren, Lance (Laurie) Janssen, of Spencer, IA, Dorean (Russ) Thom, of Bingham Lake, MN, Devin (Julie) Janssen, of Rochester, MN, Sheila (Glenn) Crowley, of Fulda, MN, Shirlene (Dave) McBride, of Fulda, MN, Sharlotte (Randy) Rindfleisch, of Fulda, MN, Michelle (Mike) Kaunzner, of Blaine, MN, Chastity (Jim) Greener, of Fort Collins, CO, and Chase Kilker, of Parker, CO; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Ralph Kilker and Don Kilker; two sisters, Betty Taarud and Darlene Jungjohan; half brother, Don Kilker; special friend, Don Rolph, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, step mother, step brother, and step sister.
     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at the Worthington Christian Church with Pastor Ron Ahlgren officiating.  Casket bearers will be Jim Greener, Lance Janssen, Devin Janssen, Chase Kilker, Glenn Crowley, and Russ Thom.  Ray’s grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild will serve as honorary bearers.  Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
