Worthington, MN
     Randy James Kraft, age 60, was born on October 14, 1954, at the Worthington Regional Hospital to Jim and Mary (Kunze) Kraft. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington. Randy graduated from Worthington High School in 1972 and pursued a 4-year Criminal Justice and Law Degree from St. Cloud State University in 1976.
     Randy became a diabetic at the age of 13. Due to his diabetes, he could not pursue his degree in Criminal Justice and Law and continued to work at Michael’s Steakhouse, his first job, where he continued as head chef for over 30 years until his failing health due to diabetes.
     Randy had a heart of gold, was generous, and loved the Lord. He was the Minnesota Twin’s #1 fan. He loved playing pinochle, cribbage, music, and collecting collectibles including antiques, coins, and Twins memorabilia. Randy would look forward to his next game of cribbage with his Dad and expected to beat him in yet another victory. Randy died on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
     Randy is survived by his parents, Jim and Mary Kraft of Worthington, MN; two sisters and three brothers, Vicky (Mike) Croat of Rushmore, MN, Bruce (Tara) Kraft of Worthington, MN, Pam (Al) Thiner of Worthington, MN; Tim (Beverly) Kraft of St. Peter, MN, and Scott (Greta) Kraft of Worthington, MN; twelve nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, three aunts, and two uncles.
     Private family services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Irwin Van Leeuwen officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
