Obituary for Norma Jean Reyelts

Worthington, MN

     Norma Jean Reyelts, 61, of Worthington, MN, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, after a brief illness.
     Norma was born March 5, 1949, in Worthington, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Sasse) Henning. She was raised in the Bigelow, MN area on the family farm where she loved helping her Dad with all the outdoor work. She received her early education in District 21 Country School and then Bigelow school, and graduated from Worthington High School in 1967.
     After graduation she became employed at Campbell’s Soup for 23 years, and it was there where she met her husband, Wallace. They were united in marriage on June 13, 1970, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm north of Worthington and then moved into Worthington in the fall of 2003, where they currently resided. She loved reading, watching old movies and listening to the Good Old Time Country Western Music.
     Survivors include her husband, Wallace; her mother, Mildred Henning; her sister, Nancy (Wayne) Reker, all from Worthington, and 4 nieces and 1 nephew, Holly, Kimberly, Chelsey, Lacey, and Landyn Reker.
     She was preceded in death by her father, Fred in 1998.
     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Ronald Yungmann officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
     Blessed be her memory.

Visitation will be held prior to the services on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
