     Norma Carolyn Boots, age 81, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN. Norma was born on August 6, 1932, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Robert and Bertha Sawyer. She attended school in St. Paul. Norma married Maynard Hanson on August 29, 1950, and to that union they had five children. They later divorced. Norma married Walter Boots on September 2, 1990. He passed away on June 17, 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching soap operas, and having coffee with her friends at Sunshine Apartments.
     Norma is survived by one daughter, Susan Flesner (Paul Koob); three sons, Lindsay Hanson, Loren Hanson, and Stacy Hanson; grandchildren, Holly Sieve (Jason), Amber Bergeson (Kevin), Eric Marten (fiancée Marissa Granstra), Scott Hanson, Wesley Hanson, Savanna Hanson, Derek Hanson, Carissa Hanson, Kaley Hanson, and Cari Peters (John) and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Steve Hanson.
     Private family burial will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Joe Behnke officiating.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013, from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
