In addition, she was active in the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Release time Church school, Vacation Bible school and sang in the church choir for many years. She was known for her unique perception of life and people, sense of humor, and irreverent wit. Maxine loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and play cards. She and Ed also had many fun trips to California to visit family, and bus trips to casinos with friends. For the last four years she had resided at the Veteran’s Home in Luverne where she enjoyed all the activities, outings and especially wisecracking all the staff.

Maxine and her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Minnesota Veteran’s Home for their loving care and compassion which will always be remembered.
