Obituary for Mary Lee Brooksher

Worthington, Minnesota

     Mary Lee Brooksher, 46, daughter of Robert and Arlene (Eineke) Siem, was born on October 19, 1963, in Kasota, MN. She was raised in Lewisville, MN, by her mother’s sister and husband, the Wilbert and Ruth Breitbarth family. She attended school in Truman, MN, and worked as a NAR at the Truman nursing home. Mary graduated from Truman High School and then attended beauty school in Mankato, MN. Her marriage to Garriel Brooksher took place on August 31, 1986, in Lewisville Lutheran Church. They lived in St. James, MN, for a time and then moved to Rogers, MN, where Mary worked as a beautician. They were later divorced and the children live in Missouri with Garriel. She loved to help and serve others with a joyful happy heart. Mary was a current employee of The Achievement Center, working at the Sanford Clinic in Worthington.
     Mary has been a resident of Prairie House in Worthington since December of 1996. She entered Sanford Regional Hospital in Worthington on February 19, 2010, where she died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.
     Mary is survived by her daughter, Nicole Brooksher of St. Peter, MO; her son, Christopher Brooksher of St. Peter, MO, and one sister, Carol Siem of Shakopee, MN. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Siem, Wilbert Breitbarth, and grandparents, Edward and Mildred Siem and Albert and Emma Eineke.
     Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at First Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Richard Ricker officiating. The pianist will be Liz Berger. Burial of her cremains will be held at a later date in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lewisville, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
