     Martha Olivia Evelyn Buer Olson, 94, of Worthington, was born on December 27, 1913, in Norway, Kansas, the daughter of Helge and Carrie Tiller Buer.  She married John L. Olson on May 30, 1936, in Atwater, Minnesota.  Martha died on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, Minnesota.
     Martha  is survived by four children, Linden (Carol) Olson, of Worthington, Minnesota, Karl (Jan) Olson, of Duluth, Minnesota, Mary Ellen (Peter) Pollak, of Vienna, Austria, and Susan (Wes) Cochrane, of Stillwater, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Martin (Nettie) Buer, of Atwater, Minnesota; two sisters, Doris Knutson, of Richfield, Minnesota, and Darleen (Lloyd) Hovey, of Atwater, Minnesota, and nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Olson, her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters.
     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 1:15 p.m., at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with Pastor Liz Radtke and Pastor Arlen Foss officiating.  Martha’s grandchildren will serve as casket bearers.  Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice Cottage, Worthington; and Habitat for Humanity; or charity of your choice.
