Obituary for Marlan Ray Lutterman

Worthington, Minnesota      Marlan Ray Lutterman, 53, was born on November 26, 1953, in Worthington, Minnesota.  He was the son of George and Genevieve Julius Lutterman.  He grew up on the family farm near Wilmont, Minnesota.  Marlan graduated from Worthington High School and attended Worthington Junior College for two years.  He then lived in Wilmont and farmed the family farm.  Marlan married Jill Haworth on August 26, 1988, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington.  After their marriage, they settled in Worthington.  Marlan continued to farm and also worked construction and carpentry jobs.  He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.  He enjoyed working on cars and was in the process of restoring a 1935 Ford.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Marlan died on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at the Lakes Regional Healthcare Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa.     Marlan is survived by his wife, Jill, of Worthington; one daughter, Hayley, of Worthington; his parents, George and Genevieve Lutterman, of Wilmont; two brothers, Dennis Lutterman, of Gayville, South Dakota and Jeff (Cindy) Lutterman, of Fulda, Minnesota; three sisters, Marsha (Wayne) Van Roekel, of Sanborn, Iowa, Judy (John) Kuhl, of Fulda, Minnesota and Karen (Steve) Banken, of Lakeland Shores, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane and his mother-in-law, Elna Haworth.     Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with the Rev. James Krapf officiating.  Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Wilmont, Minnesota.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, Minnesota.
