Obituary for Lynn Kasch

Worthington, MN


      Lynn Kasch, 70, was born on March 15, 1944, in Heron Lake, MN, the son of Rudolph and Lilly (Kunze) Kasch. He attended high school in Worthington. Lynn worked at Campbell’s Soup Company for 31 years, delivered the Minneapolis Tribune to surrounding communities, and cleaned businesses for Service Master. Lynn was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington. He was an American Red Cross Blood Donor, donating 12 gallons over his lifetime. He entered the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA in March 2011. Lynn was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and nature. He also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf, cards, and socializing over a cup of coffee. Lynn died on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

      Leaving to cherish his memories are two sisters, Eunice Meyer and Janet Weeks; two brothers, Russell (Karen) Kasch and Myron (Jeanette) Kasch; nephews, Jason Meyer, Chris Kasch, and Phil Kasch; niece, Karen Quinn, and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Jim Meyer and Earl Weeks.

      Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor David McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery near Rushmore, MN.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington.


Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
