Obituary for Lucille Beth Obermoller

Brewster Minnesota     Lucille Beth Obermoller, 82, was born on January 16, 1925, in Ransom Township, Nobles County, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Alfred and Mabel Horst Jensen.  Lucille attended District #18 school in Ransom Township and graduated from Worthington High School in 1942.  Lucille was united in marriage to Alvin Obermoller on June 16, 1943, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  After their marriage, they made their home southeast of Brewster, Minnesota in Lorain Township, Nobles County and then in Ewington Township, Jackson County, where they farmed their entire married life.  She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, Minnesota.  Lucille died on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Sibley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sibley, Iowa.     Lucille is survived by her husband, Alvin of Brewster, Minnesota; two sons, James (Sandi) Obermoller, of Round Lake, Minnesota, and Ronald (Karen) Obermoller, of Brewster, Minnesota; two daughters, Ruby (Doyle) Moore, and Connie (Merle) Janssen, both of Worthington, Minnesota; one brother, Myron Jensen; and one sister, Meryle Lodermeier, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Waldo Jensen and Lester Jensen; one son, Robert Obermoller, and one granddaughter.     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with the Rev. Robert Schulze officiating.  Lucille’s grandchildren, Dayle, Larry, Kristine, Travis, Bryan, Angelia, Scott, Sara, Mark, Christopher, Carrie, Lee, Melissa and Jonathan will serve as casket bearers.  Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Brewster.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and on Wednesday, August 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
