Obituary for Lois Ann Hunt

Worthington, MN

      Lois Ann Hunt, age 73, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015, at her home in Worthington, MN. She was born on May 25, 1942, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Carrel) Henning. Lois moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1950. She attended school in Worthington and Sioux Falls. Lois then attended Worthington Community College and earned a two-year degree. Lois married Douglas Hunt on July 12, 1963, in Pipestone, MN and to that marriage they had four children. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, sew, crochet, and play board games.

      Lois is survived by her husband, Douglas Hunt of Worthington, MN; three children, Michel (Denise) Hunt of Spokane, WA, Pamela (Terrill) Fletcher of Worthington, MN, and Scott (Donna) Hunt of Worthington, MN; son-in-law, Don Meyer of Worthington, MN; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard (Joe) Henning of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters, Yvonne (Gene) Hoffman of Sioux Falls, SD and Barbara (Larry) LaBarge of Rapid City, SD; one brother-in-law, Roger (Sharon) Hunt of Brandon, SD, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Laurie Ann Meyer; granddaughter, Rosalia Hunt, and brother, Carl Henning.

      Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Mark Schreiber officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
