Obituary for Leon Elvin Lehman

Worthington, MN

     Leon Elvin Lehman, 79, was born on November 23, 1930, to John and Emma (Von Holdt) Lehman in Mountain Lake, MN. He grew up on a farm by Avoca, MN. Leon married Bonita Finke on December 20, 1950, in Fulda, MN. He ran a family farm for eight years and then moved to Westbrook, MN. Leon moved to Worthington and worked for the highway department, retiring after 24 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Leon enjoyed the outdoors and his grandchildren. He had three daughters, five grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. Leon died on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Sanford Medical Center in Worthington.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Naomi; his son-in-law, Stanley Graue; his sister, Mrs. Adeline Beckman, and brothers and sisters. Leon is survived by his wife, Bonita; two daughters, Christine Lehman Kruger and Diana Lehman Graue; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, Michelle (Troy) Cassidy and their children, Taylor, Rhett, and Trace; Tiffany (Joey) Jensen and their children, Jastine and Logan; Tina (Pat) Dreis, and their children, Lily, Ivy, and Colter; Christian Graue, and Janet Graue.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Ryan Radtke officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Hill Cemetery in Fulda, MN.

Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
