Obituary for Jenny H. Everding

Worthington, MN

     Jenny H. Everding, 79, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Sanford Regional Hospital in Worthington, MN. Private family services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Ken Honius officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
     Jenny was born on July 27, 1931, in Little Rock, IA, to John and Henrietta (Helmers) Veen.
     She attended school in Worthington. On October 7, 1946, she married Harvey Everding and they settled in the Worthington area.
     She enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
     She was a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda, MN, for the past year and a half, where she received excellent care and was well liked by nurses and staff.
     Jenny is survived by her husband, Harvey of Worthington; two children, Barbara (Bill) Boltjes of Worthington, and David (Joy) Everding of Worthington; three grandsons, Bryan (Teri) Boltjes of Fairmont, MN, Terry Boltjes of Foreston, MN, and Matthew Everding of Grey Eagle, MN; one granddaughter, Jennifer Boltjes (Mike) of Minneapolis, MN, and six great grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Brandon, Bradley, Jacob, and Brennan.
     She was preceded in death by her son, Richard; her granddaughter, Melissa; her parents; five brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Benson Funeral Home.
