Obituary for Jennatte P. Kramer

Worthington, Minnesota     Jennatte P. Kramer, 76, was born on January 14, 1930, on a farm near Sibley, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ada (Dek) Wassenaar.  She attended country school near Bigelow, Minnesota.  Jennatte married Martin Kramer on August 25, 1948, in Worthington, Minnesota.  Following marriage, the couple farmed near Brewster, Minnesota, for thirty-five years.  Jennatte worked as a cook at the Worthington Regional Hospital for ten years.  She was a member of the Worthington Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid.  She became a resident of the Crossroads Care Center in February 2006.  Jennatte died on Friday, June 2, 2006, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington.     Jennatte is survived by her loving husband, Martin Kramer, of Worthington, Minnesota; two daughters, Audree (Scott) Carpenter, of Garner, North Carolina, and Janice (Darmon) Jones, of Oakdale, Minnesota; four sons, Derald (Deb) Kramer, of Raymore, Missouri, Merlin (Tammie) Kramer, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Steve (Pam) Kramer, of Stromsberg, Nebraska, and Roger Kramer, of Worthington; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, and special friend, Melody Ailts, of Rushmore, Minnesota.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Wassenaar, three brothers, one sister, and one infant sister.     A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with the Rev. Leroy Christoffels officiating.  Casket bearers will be Daniel Kramer, Mitch Kramer, Ben Kramer, Travis Ailts, Darmon Jones, and Scott Carpenter.  Honorary bearers will be Nathaniel Kramer, Dale Kramer, Paul Kramer, and Chase Kramer.  Burial will be at 9:15 a.m., at the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, Minnesota, with family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be made to the Gideons or to the Worthington Christian Reformed Church.
