Worthington, Minnesota
 

     Jeannetta Henrietta Meyer was born on June 28, 1915, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of John J. and Grace Janssen Elsing.  Her family moved to the Wilmont, Minnesota area in 1919.  She attended rural school in Larkin Township, Nobles County, Minnesota.  Jeannetta married Herman Meyer on December 19, 1938, in Parkersburg, Iowa.  They settled on their farm northeast of Wilmont, where they lived for 35 years.  In 1974, they moved to Worthington, Minnesota.  Jeannetta worked at South Shore Care Center (then known as Lake Haven) for a number of years.  She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington for many years.  She served on the Bereavement Committee, belonged to Circle 1, and worked at the food pantry.  Jeannetta died on Monday, May 12, 2008, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, Minnesota.
     Jeannetta is survived by nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman on June 24, 1997, and her parents.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with the Rev. Jim Krapf officiating.  Casket bearers will be Jason Ennenga, Mike Krueger, Darcy Swick, Kari Klein, Tessa Meyer, and Gail Lee.  Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
