Obituary for Jeanine Colleen Kunze

Worthington, MN

     Jeanine Colleen Kunze, 66, was born on September 9, 1944, in Slayton, MN, the daughter of Norbert “Curly” and Una (West) Sieverding. She grew up on the county line south of Fulda, MN, and helped out on the farm. After graduation from Fulda High School she lived in Minneapolis for a few years. Jeanie married Franklin Kunze on March 30, 1963, in Worthington, MN, and they resided on the Kunze family farm. She worked for several years for Campbell Soup Company in Worthington and then worked as a para professional with Distrcit 518 schools for several years. Jeanie enjoyed playing cards, reading, and collecting antiques with Franklin. Jeanie died on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Sanford Medical Center in Worthington, MN.
     Jeanie is survived by her husband, Franklin of Worthington, MN; one son, Brian of Worthington, MN; one daughter, Pam of Worthington, MN; her mother, Una Sieverding of Fulda, MN; one sister, Sylvia (Edward) Ellison of Monticello, MN, and three brothers, Wayne (Maryann) Sieverding of West Graham Lake, MN, Neil Sieverding of Fulda, MN, and David Sieverding of Currie, MN. She was preceded in death by her father.
     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. James Krapf officiating. Casket bearers will be Randy Clauson, Jeff Funk, Lyndon Funk, Stephen Kunze, Greg Kunze, and Mike Sieverding. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
