Obituary for Jacquelyn "Jackie" Carol Weiskircher

Jacquelyn Carol (Jones) Weiskircher, the daughter of Warren and Ardis Jones, was born on May 21, 1950, in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the age of 70, after being diagnosed with myelofibrosis in 2010.

Jackie graduated from Sentral of Fenton, Iowa, high school in 1968 and the Spencer School of Business in May of 1969. She married Stephen Weiskircher on September 4, 1971. They made their home in Spencer, Iowa, and moved to Worthington, Minnesota, in 1995.

Her working career was spent as a secretary in both the medical and legal professions, retiring in 2013 from the Nobles County Attorney’s Office.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Steve, of Worthington; her daughter, Dana (Jason) Schamberger, of Leawood, Kansas; her brother, Gregory (Nancy) Jones; and niece Cassandra Jones, all of Dubuque, Iowa. She was blessed to have two grandchildren, Ty and Lydia, who were the delight of her life. Jackie enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and other school activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Benson Funeral Home in Worthington. Private family service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
