     Heinz Peter Obermoller, age 94 years, of Worthington, MN, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN.
     Born January 21, 1920 in Schleswig, Germany, he was the son of John C. and Marie (Utterman) Obermoller. At the age of 3, he came to America with his parents on a ship. They landed at Ellis Island and worked their way to the Brewster area. He attended rural school through the eighth grade.
     Heinz married Lillie Sachen on June 15, 1949 in Rushmore, MN. They farmed near Brewster until 1977 at which time they moved into Worthington, MN. He still went out to help his son on the farm for several years. They traveled the 48 U.S. States and spent many winters in Arizona.
     Heinz is survived by his wife, Lillie of 65 years of Worthington, MN; three children: Carol (Dean) Christopherson of Worthington, MN, Jean Nystrom of Worthington, MN, and Gary (Julie) Obermoller of Brewster, MN; twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Eric (Shorty) Obermoller of Brewster, MN; sisters-in-law, Emma Feit of Worthington, MN and Hazel Martinson of Brewster, MN, and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Marv Nystrom, and great granddaughter, Leah Johnson.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Tom Braun officiating. Casket bearers will be Amy Johnson, DiDi Christopherson, Aaron Nystrom, Ryan Obermoller, Travis Obermoller, and Lee Obermoller. Honorary bearers will be Cynda Coleman, Kelly Donna, Eir Garcia Silva, Sarah Nystrom, Rachel Allen, and Anna Obermoller. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Brewster, MN.
     Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
