Obituary for Hazel Eileen McNab

Brewster, Minnesota 
    Hazel Eileen McNab, 91, was born on July 11, 1918, near Lakefield, MN, the daughter of Hubert and Anna Rossow.  She attended Lutheran school in Jackson County.  Hazel was united in marriage to Roland McNab on March 10, 1940, in Brewster, MN, where they resided for 50+ years.  She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster, where she sang in the choir, was a long time Sunday School teacher, and was a member of Trinity Ladies Aid.  Hazel was an avid square dancer and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, watching ballgames on television, and feeding the birds in her backyard.  She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  Hazel died on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Lakeview Assisted Living in Heron Lake, MN.
     Hazel is survived by three sons, Rodney (LaVerna) McNab of Lake Crystal, MN, Gary McNab of Madison Lake, MN, and Warren (Gayla) McNab of Las Vegas, NV; one grandson, Michael (Colleen) McNab of Paynesville, MN; one granddaughter, Kellie (Paul) Dunn of Springfield, MN, and five great grandchildren, Molly and Sarah Dunn and Duncan, Mason, and Madison McNab.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, her parents, two sisters, Gertrude and Doris, and three brothers, Rueben, LeRoy, and Leslie.
     Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster, MN, with Pastor David McDonald officiating.  Casket bearers will be Steve McNab, Kevin Rogers, Jay Baumgard, Ron Luitjens, Ron Obermoller, and Tony Haberman.  Burial will be in the Hersey Cemetery in Brewster, MN.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN and on Thursday, May 6, 2010, from 12-1 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Brewster.
