Obituary for Harold Wayne McNab

Harold Wayne McNab, 92, was born on August 9, 1920, in Brewster, MN, the son of Daniel and Madie (Dierks) McNab.  He graduated from Brewster High School in 1938.  He farmed with his father and was employed at Everson’s Hardware.     
     Harold married Suellen Tonsfeldt on June 4, 1963, in Boone, IA.  They moved to Torrance, CA for a number of years.  After returning to Minnesota, he started Harold’s Repair and Plumbing.  Suellen died on November 3, 1982.  Harold married Dolly Turner on September 10, 1988.  They lived in Round Lake, MN.
     Harold was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brewster, where he was an Elder and Sunday school teacher for many years.  He belonged to the Fraternal Lodge 101 in Worthington, El Riad Shrine, Elks Lodge, Hersey Cemetery Association, and the Brewster Senior Citizens.  Harold died on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN.
     Harold is survived by his wife, Dolly of Worthington, MN; two step sons, Dennis (Mary) Turner of Worthington, MN, and Donnie Turner of Spirit Lake, IA; six step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rollie and Ralph, and two sisters, Marguerite Ruckelshausen and Jessie Rossow.
     Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Brewster, MN, with Pastor Robert Bartlett officiating.  Casket bearers include Robert Ruckelshausen, David McNab, Brett McNab, Terry McNab, Jason Turner and Dominic Turner. Burial will be in the Hersey Cemetery in Brewster, MN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN
