Obituary for Glenn Weldon Bayerkohler

Okabena, MN

     Glenn Weldon Bayerkohler, son of Weldon and Elaine (Carlson) Bayerkohler, was born on April 23, 1962, in Worthington, MN. He was the youngest of five children. Glenn was baptized at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN. He was confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena, MN. Glenn lived in Worthington until 1967. He then moved to Okabena, graduating from Okabena High School in 1980. Glenn graduated from Willmar Vo Tech as an electronics technician. He worked for Chuck Wagon Vending as a teenager. He traveled all over the US doing electronics work for Northern Telecom, and currently for Wachter Network Services.
     Glenn was an avid Vikings and Gopher fan. He liked to watch and participate in sports. He enjoyed doing Sudoku, gardening, and his dog “Sam”. He also enjoyed making improvements to his home in Okabena.
     Glenn passed away Tuesday evening, November 24, 2009, at the Sanford Hospital in Windom, MN. He was 47 years old.
     Glenn is survived by his parents, Weldon and Elaine of Okabena, MN; siblings, Vickie (James) Milbrath of Okabena, MN; Dale (Carol) Bayerkohler of New Richland, MN; Stanley Bayerkohler of Anoka, MN; and Peggy (Reed) Scheppmann of Carol Stream, IL; nephews and nieces, Bradley (Melissa) and Christy Milbrath; Matthew, April, Brian, and Kyle Bayerkohler; Desi (Louis) Chiappetta and their son, Nicolas; Lindsey (Andy) Litton and Tyler Scheppmann; also by his aunts, uncles, many cousins, and numerous friends.
     Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena, MN, with Rev. Stephen Wiess officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
