Obituary for Flory Muller

Worthington, MN

      Flory Muller, age 89, was born on October 16, 1925, in Lakefield, MN, the daughter of Siebelt and Anna (Van Der Velde) Saathoff. She attended school in Okabena through the eighth grade. Flory married William Muller on June 7, 1941, at Grace Lutheran Church, in Ewington Township. She was a homemaker and helped with the livestock. Flory always loved to read and in her younger days, she enjoyed fishing and gardening. During her last years, she enjoyed doing Circle-a-Word and watching TV. She loved her family dearly. They were the light of her life. She treasured their visits and so enjoyed making delicious meals for them. Flory died on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, MN.

      Flory is survived by her children, Siebe (Maizy) Muller of Slayton, MN, Henrietta (Larry) Cowan of Storden, MN, Annette (Dan) Kemp of Sandpoint, ID, and Gary (Jan) Muller of Ceylon, MN; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two granddaughters, Tina Cowan and Carolyn Kemp; one great granddaughter, Taylor Cowan; three brothers, and four sisters.

      Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Gary Andersen officiating. Burial will be held prior to the services in the Worthington Cemetery.

      Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington.

      Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
