Obituary for Elaine Marie Peters

Worthington, Minnesota     Elaine Marie Peters, 67, was born on March 3, 1942, in Tracy, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Alice (La Joie) Greenman. Elaine worked in various nursing homes in Minnesota and on the west coast and also worked at Walmart. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Elaine died on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls, MN.     Elaine is survived by her husband, Thomas Peters of Worthington, MN; three children, Joy Cronin of Archer, IA, and her children, Beth (Seth) Roberts of Sioux City, IA, Amanda Getzel (special friend, Brandon Espeland) and her son, Riley of Sanborn, IA, and Lucas Verrips of Archer, IA; Renee (Brian) Hardy of Renner, SD, and her children, Jeremy Klarenbeek of Sioux Falls, SD, Melissa Klarenbeek and her children, Alex, Lance, and Andrew of Watertown, SD, and Kari Klarenbeek of Renner, SD; David (Julie) Getzel of Hospers, IA, and his children, Kayla Getzel of Fort Wayne, IN, and Quenton Getzel of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Betty (Cleo) Schreier of Balaton, MN; two brothers, Donald (Judy) Greenman of Hutchinson, MN, and Charles (Alice) Greenman of Longmont, CO, and honorary grandchildren, Dawn and Andrew Schutz. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Raymond Jr.      Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Wayne Krohe officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Tracy, MN.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
