    Edna Grace Koster, age 90, passed on to her heavenly Father on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN.
    Edna was born in Jackson County, near Round Lake, MN, to Dick and Anna (Tscherter) Koster on August 31, 1919. She grew up on the farm, attended Jackson County District 117 for eight years, and graduated from Round Lake High School in 1937. She helped on the farm while her brother was in World War II. Edna took some accounting courses at Worthington Junior College. She worked in Worthington at Rohrer’s National Dime Store and then at Sears for 22 years. Edna moved to Lakefield, MN, where she worked for Great Plains for 7 years and then returned to Worthington and worked for Crossroads Nursing Home for 15 years.
    Edna loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Europe, Canada, and Hawaii. She also enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews on short trips to Twins’ games, Wisconsin Dells, and the Minnesota State Fair.
    Edna is survived by and greatly missed by two sisters, Helen Briggs of Mankato, MN, and Ruth (John) Rusche of Redwood Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Florence Koster of Round Lake, MN; 10 nieces and nephews; 24 great nieces and nephews, and 7 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George, and one brother-in-law, Marshall Briggs.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Richard Ricker officiating. Casket bearers will be Kevin Briggs, Greg Briggs, M. Doug Briggs, Travis Obermoller, Ryan Obermoller, Lee Obermoller, Eric Pfundt, and Josh Sasse. Burial will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and one hour prior to the service.
