Edna Luella (Clausen) Marsh, age 96, lifelong resident of Worthington MN passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019 at Emerald Crest in Shakopee MN.
Edna was born on April 8, 1923 near Dundee MN; the 11th child of Julius & Magdalena (Henricksen) Clausen. She had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Edna married Cecil Eugene Marsh on June 25, 1941. They lived in the Fulda area and then moved to Worthington. Edna and Cecil had 8 children.
Edna was a homemaker and employed by Campbell Soup Co. for 31 years until she retired in 1984.
Edna was a very hard worker, amazing cook, baker, and seamstress and she loved to crochet. She also loved traveling, music, and dancing.
Edna spent the last year and one half living near her daughters in Burnsville and Shakopee. Although her health declined over the last few years, her long term memory was good and visits from all of her family perked her up and made her smile.
Edna is survived by her children - Clayton (Kyong Hui) Marsh, Papillion NE; Dee Carnahan, Burnsville MN; Bern (Lisa) Marsh, Worthington; Judy (Don) Raley, Phoenix AZ; Daughter-In-Law Glenis Marsh, Worthington; Sandy Marsh, Worthington, and Rhonda (Len) Laxen, Shakopee MN; as well as 21 Grandchildren and their spouses, 46 Great Grandchildren and some spouses, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren; as well as generations of nieces and nephews.
She was the lone survivor of her generation for both hers and Cecil's families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, son Loren, infant daughter, Kristine, granddaughter, Tracey, infant granddaughter, Carissa, and son-in-law, Lance Carnahan.
Edna has over 100 descendants in her immediate family and the greatest gift was the love she shared with all of them. She was one special lady.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 2:30 p.m., at First Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Jeanette McCormick officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the church. Burial will be held in the Hersey Cemetery near Brewster, MN.
