Obituary for Doyle Arthur Moore

Doyle Arthur Moore was born December, 23, 1941, in Worthington Hospital to Edward and Linnea Moore of Worthington. He attended Worthington school until his junior year when he went to help his father in auguring wells.
He married Ruby Obermoller on July 13, 1963. They lived in Worthington, Clara City and St. Louis Park, MN. Working with various well drilling companies, in 1967 they moved to Round Lake, MN, and he began employment at Bedford Industries until he retired in August, 1990 because of a debilitating injury. For several years he accompanied Ruby to craft, farm shows, and antique tractor shows eventually joining Florida Fly Wheelers Antique Engine Club of Fort Meade FL, spending winters in Florida for several years at their campground until health problems prevented traveling. He moved west of Worthington to an acreage in 1974 where he lived until his death. His lifetime hobbies included spoiling his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Ruby, children Dayle (Kimberly); Larry; Kristine; Travis (Lori); and Bryan (Rebecca), fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 3 more due by this fall, brothers Allen (Mary); Lloyd (Diana), sisters Neila (Robert) Dick, and Mary (Joe) Chambers, sister-in-law Norma Jean Moore, father-in-law Alvin Obermoller and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward & Linnea, mother-in-law Lucille Obermoller (Alvin), brothers Gail, infant brother Larry and Robert, two daughters, infant Angel and Angelia.
Public visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN. Private family services will follow with Pastor Mark Schreiber officiating. Burial will be held in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Per Covid guidelines, masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sunset Hospice Cottage.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
