Obituary for Dora Kruger

Round Lake, Minnesota      Dora Kruger, 85, was born on December 2, 1920 in Marshall, Illinois, to parents Lyman and Lucy Gardner Reed.  She came to the Round Lake area as a young girl.  Dora spent most of her life farming in this area, with the exception of nine years living in Huntington Beach, California.  She enjoyed her job as assistant bursar at USC.  Dora was respected and well loved for her quick wit and sense of humor.  She died on Friday, October 27, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center in Jackson, Minnesota.     Dora is survived by her husband, Robert Kruger, of Worthington; one son, Jerry, and his wife, Glenda Beck, of Spicer, Minnesota; one daughter, Joanne, and her husband, Marlyn Post, of Jordan, Minnesota; a sister, Joyce, and her husband, Kenneth Tordsen, of Round Lake, Minnesota; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Denzel, and two brothers, Robert and Paul Reed.     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Round Lake, Minnesota, with the Rev. Robert Bartlett officiating.  Casket bearers will be grandsons, Brent Beck, Tracy Beck, Tim Post, and Daniel Lippert and friends, Henry Greve and Keith Stanton.  Burial will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery.     The family wishes to thank everyone for their visits, flowers, and kind words.        Visitation will be held on Monday October 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
