Obituary for Carole Lynn Brust

      Carole Lynn Brust, age 63, was born on March 4, 1951, in Luverne, MN, the daughter of Henry and Edith (Cauwels) De Groot. Carole married Roger Brust on November 6, 1976, in Worthington, MN. Carole was a high school graduate of Magnolia, MN and attended two years of vocational school. She was employed at Wolff’s Department Store and Runnings. Carole was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington. She enjoyed knitting, reading, baking, and spending time with her family. Carole passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center.

      Carole is survived by her two daughters, Melissa (Arlyn) Rylaarsdam of Edgerton, MN and Teresa (Jason) VanBelle of Beaver Creek, MN; six granddaughters, Megan, Emma, and Kaylee Rylaarsdam and Brookelynn, Katelynn, and Avalynn VanBelle, and her sister-in-law, Garnet Burns of Worthington, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Brust, her parents, and one brother, Steve De Groot.

      Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Galen Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

      Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and also from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014, at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
