Bruce Bernard Lodermeier was born on July 27, 1941, in St. Cloud, MN, the son of Urban and Evangeline (McRae) Lodermeier.
Bruce spent his early years at his family home and then at the state hospital in St. Cloud, MN. He then moved to Ridgewood before finally moving to his own home in Worthington, MN. Bruce was employed at Nobles County DAC for 37 years. Even when he could have retired, he wanted to go to work so he could “make money” as Bruce would say.
Bruce loved life, he never met a stranger. Instead of strangers, he met potential friends. There was not an activity Bruce did not want to participate in. He especially liked bingo, shopping, church, movies, dancing and singing. Bruce would invite friends to sit, visit and have coffee or a popcorn party.
Bruce always knew what you needed. He was ready with an “I love you” or “I pray for you”. Bruce got sick and went to be with his friend Jesus on Friday, October 12, 2018. He is survived by his sister, Jane (Phil) Wright; sister-in-law, Barb, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Urban and Evangeline and brother, Tim Lodermeier.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 3:30 p.m., at the Worthington Christian Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Doug White officiating. Urn carriers will be Tina Stammer and Cindy Dagel.
