Obituary for Bertha "Bert" Duncan

Worthington, Minnesota
 

     Bertha “Bert” Duncan, 88, was born on August 27, 1919, in Southbend Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Eliza (Schnieder) Jarmer.  She attended Country school District 18 & 19.  Bert married Earl Duncan on April 20, 1939, in Dundee, Minnesota.  After their marriage, they lived on the M.J. Dickson farm until their retirement.  They then moved to Windom, Minnesota.  She taught ceramic classes for 20 years.  Bert died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, Minnesota.
     Bert is survived by her husband, Earl, of Worthington, Minnesota; one son, Keith (Carol) Duncan, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Tricia Broberg and her children, Nick Wilken, Alexa Wilken, Austin Broberg, Sydnee Broberg, and Sawyer Broberg, Ryan (Sandy) Duncan and their daughter, Danyell Duncan, April (Chuck) Symes and their daughter, Cassandra Symes, and Jessica Freeman and her fiancé, Brian Saari; one sister-in-law, Sally Konold, and special nephews and nieces, Terry (Judy) Bramel, Larry (Sharon) Duncan, and Michael (Pat) Duncan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
     Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington, Minnesota, with Father Larry Brixius officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington.
 
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of arrangements.
