Worthington, MN

      Arnold Herman Froderman, age 82, went home to Heaven on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN. He was born to August and Sena (Kluever) Froderman in Sioux Valley, MN on November 24, 1930. He attended school at Sioux Valley and Round Lake, MN.
      Arnie was drafted into the Army on March 19, 1952. He was based at Ft. Eustis in Newport, VA. He served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged on December 9, 1953. Arnie married Evelyn Kuehl on April 30, 1954 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake, MN.
      From 1954 to 1956, Arnie worked for Consolidated Chimney Company located in Chicago, IL. In 1956, he began farming with his dad on the Iowa Lake farm in Jackson County. In 1960, Arnie & Evie started farming on their own at the Iowa Lake farm. Then in September of 1973, they purchased a farm west of Round Lake, MN and continued to farm until 1992 when, due to health, Arnie retired. After retirement, Arnie & Evie worked for Dirks and Sliver Auction Company located in Worthington, MN. Then Arnie found another passion. He began restoring old tractors. Allis Chalmers and Fords were his two favorite tractors to work on. They moved into Worthington, MN in June of 2010. He enjoyed playing pinochle cards at the Senior Citizen Center in Round Lake and with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
      Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Evie; two daughters, Barb (Bruce) Koster, Lakefield, MN and Kandis (Michael) Feltman, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Micca (Suzanne) Koster, Lakefield, MN, Dustin (Marie) Koster, Marshall, MN, Ashley (Collin) Donley, Austin, TX, and Kristine and Brandon Feltman, Sioux Falls, SD; five great grandchildren, Alex & Ethan Koster, Lakefield, MN, Braxton, Jaylen & Harrison Koster, Marshall, MN; one brother and nine sisters, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers and one sister.
      Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake, MN, with Rev. Marvin Soulek officiating. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
