Obituary for Alvin Reinken

Windom, MN

     In loving memory of Alvin Lee Reinken, born January 28, 1931, son of Tena (Berry) and Gus Reinken. He was 81 years old.
     He was united in marriage January 16, 1951 to Joyce (Beerman) Reinken. They resided in Worthington until 1955 then in Luverne until 1961 when they moved to Provo, UT for one year then moved to Las Vegas, NV. Al worked as an electrical lineman. He retired from Nevada Test Site after more than 30 years. They returned to Windom for their retirement in 1997.
     Al enjoyed traveling, motorcycles and hunting. He was a happy man to move back to Minnesota so he could enjoy pheasant hunting and all the seasons. The winters were a challenge, however - snow blowing was not his favorite thing!
     Al died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his residence in Windom, MN.
     Al is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Kathy) Reinken of Storden, MN and Allen Reinken of Windom, MN; daughter, Janet (Rick) Hernandez of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Kristy (Ryan) Giles of Las Vegas, NV and Paul (Michelle) Reinken of Northeast, PA; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Caleb and Ammon, and a sister, Adeline (Bill) Lundberg of Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 2010, son, Larry and his parents.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
